What a big girl!

Time is flying by! Lily had her 2 year check up yesterday and is getting to be such a big girl. She got to go on the stand up scale and thought that was pretty neat. She did not, however, enjoy her shot and blood test. She managed to stop crying when a nurse gave her a Thomas sticker and she realized she was getting to go home. Her latest stats: 35 inches tall (but the doctor thought she was probably taller because she was bending her knees while she was being measured) which is the 75% and she now weighs 24 lbs which is the 10%. So basically she is a tall and slender little girl :) We think she is perfect.


Lily had a very busy weekend - Nana came for a visit and Lily was very happy to see her. Thursday (February 22) was Aunt Melissa's birthday so we all went to Rose Angelis for dinner. Lily really enjoyed the Italian bread dipped in oil. She enjoyed her birthday cake from the famed "Sweet Mandy B's" even better. In fact, Lily like birthday candles SO much that we had to light them 3 times so she could blow them out!

On Friday morning we went to the American Girl Place for breakfast. Lily got to bring her Bitty Baby and she had the best time. The Cafe was so cute - it was decorated in hot pink, black and white - and Lily got to meet Bitty Kitty, Bitty Puppy and Bitty Bear too. After breakfast, we did some shopping and Lily got a diaper bag and picnic set for her baby as well as an Easter outfit for baby. We spend the rest of Friday afternoon shopping on Michigan Avenue.

Sadly, Lily's long birthday celebration is over. Lily is very disappointed that there is no more cake! Fortunately, she has many fun things to look forward to in the upcoming months including a trip to Nana and Papa's house and her vacation to Hilton Head Island.
