Travelin' Fashionista

Whew! Lily (and her mommy and daddy) survived a long week and a half of traveling which included being in three different time zones! Luckily Lily is a flexible little lady and she adapted well to her surroundings while she was on the road.

First, Lily headed out to sunny Arizona for the first time. Lily handled her first plane trip like a pro :) In Arizona, Lily enjoyed the nice, warm weather while her mommy made sure she was completely covered in SPF 50....fortunately Lily did not get sunburned. Lily managed to take a few quick dips in the chilly pool and despite how cold it was, we are pretty sure she enjoyed herself and we can't wait to see her in a warm pool when we go to Hilton Head next month. While in Arizona, Lily also had fun taking walks in the evening to check out the cactus, bunnies, quails and even a road runner.

It was then back to Chicago (where the weather was almost as nice as AZ) for a night's rest and then off to Michigan to spend Easter weekend with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Melissa. Once again, Lily proved to be a champion traveller as she braved the car trip to Michigan. Once in Michigan, Lily had a great time. She visited the Easter Bunny (and cried when she had to let the next little boy in line visit with him!), rode her trike, got all dressed up to go to Easter brunch and basically just spent some quality time with Grandma and Grandpa. Lily really enjoyed all the space at Grandma and Grandpa's house especially since she is running all over now! The weekend came to end Sunday night and we all headed back to Chicago and back to our regular routine. After a whirlwind of travelling, its actually nice to be settled in at home.

But Lily's travelin' days are far from over.....next month she packsup her pretty pink suitcase and heads down South to Hilton Head Island to spend some fun time in the sun (using plenty of sunscreen of course) with her family. As always, stay tuned for recent pictures of our darling fashionista!
