Summer is here!

Summer has arrived with a vengeance in the Windy City!! It is now reaching the upper 80's almost everyday. Lily is hanging in there though and keeping cool by wearing her adorable sun bubbles and taking walks in the shade with her nanny and Adam. Lily gets more amazing everyday as she discovers all of the new things she can do. Her latests talents are: sucking her thumb, rolling to her side (she is very close to a complete roll, but she hasn't quite figured out how to get her arm out of the way!), turning in response to voices and/or noise, laughing and grabbing anything she can get her hands on. She has also started to put everything in her mouth. We can't wait to see what Lily will learn to do next....it is so exciting.

Lily also loves to have stories reads to her....she loves to hear different voices and to look at the pretty pictures in the books. Lily and Adam always have a "Book of the Day" that their nanny reads to them. Lily also has an exciting new addition to her book collection: her mom bought her "Wrigley Field From A to Z". This is an adorable book written and illustrated by the wives of the Cubs players. The proceeds from the sale go to a great charity called Cubs Care. Lily's mom read the book to her for the first time last night and Lily loved it!

Since we last posted, Lily has added a few cute items to her summer wardrobe....the cutest being a dress from Janie and Jack's "Set the Table" collection. Lily also talked her dad into the coordinating hat and bib too!

Lily has a busy weekend ahead...she is going to her first Cubs game on Saturday...she is excited to cheer the Cubs to victory as they play the Red Sox. Lily is going to look adorable in her Nike Cubs outfit, so check back for summer pictures of Lily :)
